No More Mixed Emotions: Words From A Healing Heart Poems That Feed The Soul

A book of poetry written during my healing journey over the past couple of years. In some ways this book is like part two to the first poetry book I published at the beginning of 2025, but also can be read as a stand alone book in the same way the first book "Mixed Emotions" Poetry For The Soul Healing From Toxic Relationships... can be.This book is filled with poems that highlight the pain, confusion, sadness and so much more that come along with the process of healing from trauma and other wounds that are an unavoidable part of one's journey to healing from toxic relationships of all kinds.Poetry is the easiest way for me to express myself and it has been that way since childhood... maybe because for years I was made to feel like I wasn't good enough, didn't belong or needed to hide myself away to both protect me and to try to be who others wanted me to be.So, all the things I held in, everything I couldn't or didn't even know how to say... it all found it's way out lyrically through songs and poems. As I have been learning, growing and working to heal, I have started to write again after years of not doing so and that is where "Mixed Emotions" and "No More Mixed Emotions" come from.The first book was made up of about half and half new and old stuff though, where as this second book is almost entirely made up of poems I wrote between the end of 2024 and 2025 with only one exception from 1998.My hope is to use my own healing journey to somehow help others along the way through sharing my own experiences with those in similar situations and to encourage them not to give up because healing is possible.
