Hoya 72mm Variable Density ND Filter Y3VD072 Glass Black

The Hoya 72mm Variable Density Filter is designed for both still photography and video use, making it easy to adjust the brightness of a scene and giving more control over camera exposure settings. By rotating the inner filter ring, the filter decreases light transmittance between approximately 1/3 and 1/400th of its original level. This permits aperture values to be set dependent on the desired effect and allows a much greater range of shutter speed. For example, in full sunlight crowds of people or water can be blurred using a long shutter speed.
