Easy Method of ACUPUNCTURE : Based on Meridian Theory

Acupuncture is an excellent therapeutic method. It is very effective for many diseases and symptoms. Acupuncture therapy looks like simple and easy. But there are many barriers for medical doctors, such as concepts and logics and words and techniques of Oriental medicine or too much matters to be memorized like numerous names of acupuncture points and their characters etc. This book is written mainly for medical doctors and dentists who had little or no relation to acupuncture to remove the barriers mentioned above. The characteristics of my method is as mentioned bellow: 1. Basic principle is based exclusively on Meridian Theory. 2. Fundamental meridian selection is to select the meridian that passes through the location of complaint(s). It is quite simple and easy. In addition, cial unique ideas of Oriental Medicine (such as the relation between LUNG and skin-&-hair) or relation of similarity between ORGAN of Oriental Medicine and anatomical organ bearing different name (such as KIDNEY and adrenal body) are taken into consideration. But it is not so difficult to understand. 3. The first step of the treatment is meridian selection according to the principle mentioned above. It is quite different from generally adopted methods. 4. Points are selected on the meridian mentioned above, not considering “function or character of the point” which are described minutely in other textbooks. 5. Points are taken principally distal from elbow and knee joints bilaterally. So, the points to be memorized are remarkably decreased. 6. Basic method of treatment is electro-acupuncture.Stimulation is controlled so as the patient feels comfortable and equal at all points. 7. Retaining needle, moxa needle, intradermal needle, thumbtack needle and acupoint injection are also performed. The principle of every method is completely the same as the principle of electro-acupuncture. 8. In acupoint injection, injection is used as stimulation, without expecting pharmacological effects. So, any substance for subcutaneous or intramuscular use can be used. If pharmacologically active substances are used, the effects are stronger with less dose, and it continues much longer. This method has no side effects except slight pain of needle insertion and bruise formation due to subcutaneous bleeding. Other “side effects” are completely avoidable by normal attention. Pneumothorax never happens. There are numerous indications of acupuncture as shown in textbooks or clinical reports. But, in this book, only my experiences with sure results are described.
