| Directions | To fix this, you can reset the heater by following these steps: Step 1: Unplug the heater, wait 5 minutes, and take it out of the water. Press and hold the control button, then plug it back in while still holding the button. Step 2: Watch the display. As soon as the numbers change from three digits to two digits, unplug it immediately—don't wait for E1 to show up. Step 3: Put the heater back into your fish tank, making sure it's fully underwater. Then plug it in again and set your desired temperature., When the heater shows an E1 code, it means the safety mode has been activated. This usually happens for two reasons: 1.The heater is in a spot with poor water flow. 2.It was turned on before being fully underwater. |
